TARLAC CITY, Tarlac – The beautiful nativity scenes all over the province is a clear indication that Christmas is here.
The yearly Christmas event organized by the Tarlac Heritage Foundation has 42 entries for various categories. The two-month long activity officially opened on November 4. Final judging is scheduled for November 16. Awarding ceremonies is tentatively scheduled for December 7.

Community Category
Church Category
Monumental Category
Grand Category (Municipal/Non Municipal)
First Prize Winners can expect a prize of P70K to P100K depending on the category. The prize for winners is from a low of 50K to a high of P60. Third prize on the other hand is P40K to 50K
This year’s mechanics and guidelines strictly disallows political figures or images on the entries, and at least fifty percent (50%) of the materials used to make the Belen must be comprised of indigenous materials.
This yearly event has become an attraction for the province. Tarlac residents and those from nearby areas and even passers by would stop by each Belen to enjoy the beauty of each one of them./BDF
