TARLAC CITY – A meeting regarding the implementation of rules and regulations in the selling of firecrackers was held on December 12, 2016 at the City Cooperatives and Enterprise Development Office (CCEDO).
Representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection, Tarlac City Police Station, Building Permit and Licensing Division, CCEDO, Barangay Carangian Chairman Nelson Castillo and other departments attended the said meeting.
All firecracker retailers and stores, including sellers in all barangays, must secure a permit from the Business Permit and Licensing Division and Bureau of Fire Protection.
A composite team will be formed for the monitoring and inspection of said establishments. Possible confiscation will be done as a result to the violations of the regulations on the selling of the said goods.
To maintain order and to avoid traffic congestion at the main thoroughfares here during the Christmas season, the city will allow the retailing of firecrackers, with strict monitoring, only along Ninoy Aquino Boulevard, Barangay Carangian (in front of Event’s Place and STI) all day until 10:00 in the evening from December 20 to 31./Tarlac CIO
