PHP 1.372-B Worth of Liquid Shabu and Equipment Seized in Drug Lab

CAMP OLIVAS, CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA– Through the continuous joint operations initiated by PNP personnel from the PNP Anti- Illegal Drugs Group and Police Regional Office 3- Angeles City Police Office and team from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 3, a mega-industrial landestine laboratory was dismantled that led to the seizure of voluminous illegal drugs and laboratory equipment used in the production of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) early in May 31.

Raiding team armed with search warrant proceeded at No 2-7 Don Vicente Street, Villa Dolores, Brgy Sto. Domingo, Angeles City to serve said warrant against a certain alias CHANG and other John Does but said persons were not around during the anti-drug operation.

Said shabu laboratory is categorized as mega-industrial shabu laboratory since it can produce more than 50 kilograms of shabu in one production cycle.

Further investigation revealed that CHANG and his reported Taiwanese and Filipino cohorts entered one year lease contract from Atty. Orlando Pangilinan, owner of house whose contract started last July 10, 2015 to June 09, 2016.

Pangilinan said that Chang rented his house last July 2015 but failed to 2 months lease from April 2016 up to present.

Seized from the high impact operation were chemicals and equipment use in manufacturing dangerous drugs, 248 liters of liquid methamphetamine hydrochloride, 443.11 grams shabu, 26.44 kilos chloroephedrine, controlled precursors and essential chemicals and laboratory equipment worth 1.372 billion.

Meanwhile, Police Regional Office 3 Director, PCSUPT AARON AQUINO lauded the operating troops for a job well done and further stated that PNP PRO3 together with partner agencies is continuously conducting pro-active operations and invigorates its efforts to wipe out all forms of illegal drugsto achieve its quest for a drug free Central Luzon.

PNP personnel involved in this successful operation were awarded during the traditional flag raising ceremony on June 6 at the PNP National Headquarters in Camp Crame.

PNP Chief Police Director General Ricardo Marquez presented the Medalya ng Kadakilaan to PSSUPT Manolo Ozaeta who over-all supervised and provided guidance and management through substantial participation during the conduct of the operation.

Similar award was also given to PSSUPT Leonardo Suan as project supervisor who conveyed to the group his proper guidance and support during the entire process of operation.

Meanwhile, the Medalya ng Kagalingan was awarded to the following personnel: PSUPT Julius Ceasar Mana (Team Leader), PINSP Felizardo Laygo, SPO4 Allan Lising, SPO4 Anthony Barangan, SPO4 Neil Garnace, SPO2 Manuel Tuliao, SPO2 Roderick Quiton, SPO2 Gary Gomez, SPO1 Pedro Urbano Jr., PO3 Gilbert Maglaya, and PO3 Manolito Bacsa – member/PNP PIO
