Tarlac City – “Nobody is above the law.” This was stressed by Mayor Cristy Angeles during her meeting with the POSO officials and staff as she challenged to implement the traffic law regardless who is apprehended.
“Let us find ways to decongest traffic problem especially the bottle neck of it (8am to 11am and 1-5pm). “Magtulungan po tayo na masolusyunan ang problema sa trapiko. Tapos na ang palakasan system. Hulihin kahit sino pa ang nagkasala. kahit na kamag-anak o pamilya ko pa. Walang exemption. Include LGU officials or City employees for that matter,” stressed Cristy.
Moreover, the Mayor emphasized that, “kapag may nag-name drop sa pangalan ko, sabihin ninyo sa tao na ‘pasensiya na po kasi kahit si Mayor tumutupad sa batas trapiko’”
To accomplish our goal, she urged, “we have to be united. Magkaisa po tayo. Itabi na po natin ang pulitika. Nakikiusap ako sa inyo na mga permanent, i-welcome po natin ang mga JOs. Sila po ang makakatulong ninyo sa pagpapatupad ng batas trapiko.”
For his part, Alejandro Listerio, Traffic Supervisor assured the lady Mayor of the department’s fair treatment of personnel and the fair and equal implementation of the traffic law./Rem de Leon Galang
