TARLAC CITY – The National Food Authority-Tarlac has assured the public that there is no fake rice being sold in the province.
The NFA-Tarlac made the assurance following reports about the alleged fake or plastic rice circulated in social media.
The NFA-Tarlac, in a statement, also assured that the rice being sold in their accredited retailers is safe for public consumption.
Nevertheless, the NFA-Tarlac said it is continuously coordinating with other agencies to monitor any report of fake or plastic rice being sold in the markets.
The NFA-Tarlac likewise advised the consumers to be vigilant and report to them any unusual appearance, smell, or taste of rice./Eden Gutierrez/PNA
