Tarlac City – The City Engineer’s Office, together with the City Transport and Traffic Management Group (CTTMG), and the Traffic Management Unit (TMU) of the City Government of Tarlac held its meeting today, Sept. 13 to conduct the final leg of the structural inspection for theAquino Boulevard-MacArthur Highway Intersection “Lalam Goma” Rehabilitation Project.
Prior to the meeting, a series of coordination with PEO and DPWH was conducted. After several inspections, the CEO determined that rehab project would cover a 60-meter stretch along Aquino Boulevard. The project is on its final stages of preparation and will be implemented by the City Government of Tarlac.
According to the blueprint presented by the CEO, a concreting of road on the area will be the main focus of the project.
“This project, which has been a long-running issue in the city, is one of the first development projects that Mayor Cristy Angeles initiated early this year. Through her efforts, the legal processes, coordination with DPWH, and structural planning of this project has been expedited which resulted to where we are now, this project is soon to commence, hopefully by next weekend, and we are looking forward to finally putting a more stabilized base pavement on the area”, said an official from the City Engineer’s Office.
The City Engineer’s Office, alongside CTTMG and TMU, is preparing for the upcoming repair and has initiated the coordination with the concerned departments for the road closure and traffic-rerouting scheme that will be necessarily implemented.
