2 students busted with P100K marijuana

Tarlac City – – They never learned.
This was the comment when 2 students here were busted with marijuana with street value of P100, 000 this morning at Barangay San Nicolas here which they admitted selling.
In his report, Tarlac City police chief PSupt Joel Mendoza identified the arrested students as Jasper Tabago Pating, AKA Chock, 22, of Block 1, Barangay San Nicolas, and Carlos Ines Arquiza, 21, of San Sebastian Village, Barangay San Sebastian.
Pating is a BS Hotel and Management student of Philippine Women’s University (PWU) here. While Arquiza is a 4th year Civil Engineering student at St Louis University in Baguio City.
Mendoza said, PSInsp Welhelmino Alcantara, this city’s Anti Drug Enforcement Unit, personally led the operation against the 2 drug peddler.
For his part, Alcantara revealed that Pating’s drug dealing was reported by some students.
The two were entrapped at Pating’s house and at least 700 grams were recovered at Pating’s room.
“If packed in retail-size sachets, the confiscated marijuana can be worth more than P100,000”, said Alcantara.
Chock was charged with selling of illegal drugs (violation of Section 5 of RA 9165) and for possession of illegal drugs (marijuana) exceeding 500 grams, hence, he cannot post bail.
While Arquiza was charged of possession of illegal drugs (section 11 of RA9165), a bailable offense.
