“Narito na po tayo sa bagong pahina ng ating mga buhay bilang mga tagapaglingkod. Panahon na po na tayo’y magkaisa at kumilos ng sama-sama para sa ating mga ka-barangay at para sa buong Tarlac City.”
This was the opening pitch of Mayor Cristy Angeles yesterday as she gathered all barangay chairmen of the 76 barangays of Tarlac City to formally meet them as fellow public servants.
The friendly meeting was also attended by some barangay councilors and treasurers who wanted to hear the plans of the new city mayor.
After an overview of her past accomplishments as Senior Board Member and giving out some reminders for the upcoming 2017 budget planning, Mayor Cristy laid out, one by one, her ongoing activities for Tarlac City as well as her upcoming plans to remedy some of the major problems of the city such as waste management and the traffic situation.
Some officials came forward with their questions and concerns which are mostly about unfinished projects in their respective barangays. Mayor Cristy, together with Vice Mayor Aro Mendoza, readily answered their inquiries and provided them with an immediate plan of action to get their concerns addressed and resolved.
Mayor Cristy Angeles assured all the barangay captains that her plans for a better Tarlac City will extend to all barangays and has also highlighted the good partnership that she will soon build with each of her fellow officials for a better government for all Tarlaqueños.
