CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – A record 11 out of the 21 legislative districts of Central Luzon in the incoming Congress will have female representatives.
Females sweep the races in Nueva Ecija with re-electionist Ging Suansing (1st district) and Megan Antonino (4th district) and first termers Mikki Violago (2nd district) and Ria Vergara (3rd district).
Another first termer is Rida Robes of the lone district of San Jose del Monte.
Also successful in their re-election bids were Bella Angara-Castillo (Lone district of Aurora), Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (Pampanga 2nd district), Linabelle Ruth Villarica (Bulacan 4th district), and Cheryl Deloso-Montalla (Zambales 2nd district).
Moreover, Lorna Silverio returns as representative of the 3rd district of Bulacan.
And lastly, Geraldine Roman of the 1st district of Bataan makes history as the first transgender woman member of the legislative branch./CLJD-PIA 3
