TARLAC CITY – The Office of the City Agriculturist headed by Susan Concepcion awarded Mung Bean (Monggo) seeds to 315 farmers from 32 barangays of Tarlac City. The awarding was held at the City Agriculture Conference Room last Monday, Mar. 6, 2017. Each farmer received 10 kilos of mung beans during the ceremony.
The awarding is part of the High Value Commercial Development Program (HVCDP) of the said department which particularly focuses on vegetable and fruit production and aims to enhance the state of the land and provide an increase in the income of farmers. Furthermore, the program has an initial target of covering 225 hectares of land. A total of 3000 kilos mung seeds was distributed to the office by the Department of Agriculture for this year
