Continue fight against illegal drugs, Yap tells TPPO

CAPITOL HILL, Tarlac – Governor Susan Yap told the Tarlac Police Provincial Office (TPPO) officials and personnel to “continue fighting the illegal drug menace that is affecting the country.”

The lady governor said this during the arrival honor and passing review accorded to her by the Tarlac police force during the camp’s flag raising ceremony at Camp General Francisco Macabulos last August 1.

The governor’s directive was in accordance to Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s all-out-war against criminality and the proliferation of illegal drugs.

“I have met Pres. Duterte several times these past few weeks and his message was very clear—fight drugs and criminality,” the governor said adding that, “You are the guide and hands in the president’s desire to rid the entire nation from all forms of criminality.”

This was the second time Gov. Yap was given arrival honors by TPPO. The first was when she attended the first flag ceremony of capitol employees last July 4.

. Yap, together with Acting Provincial Director P/SSupt Westrimundo Obinque, P/SSupt Emmanuel Nunag and P/SSupt Randy Arceo presented certificate of recognition to the uniformed personnel of TPPO for their exemplary performance of their duties.

Obinque said that their accomplishment is in line with the thrust of the Philippine National Police [PNP] Chief. Police Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.

“Such accomplishment speaks well of the police officer’s dedication and commitment to eradicate illegal drugs and drug personalities in the province in line with the thrust of the Chief PNP.

The TPPO also presented an audio visual presentation to the governor on the updates and accomplishments on the anti-illegal drug campaign plan and project double barrel.
Since July 1, TPPO has conducted 25 drug operations in the province and has listed 6,158 drug users and pushers who yielded to the police. They have also arrested 28 persons linked to illegal drugs while 12 others were killed in the operations.

Police officers that were given commendations are P/Supt Miguel Guzman, Chief of the Provincial Intelligence, Intel Officer P/SInsp Eulogio Lamqui III and Company EXO P/SInsp Banduarez Lingaling, P/CInsp Jovy Arceo, Chief, Bamban Police Station, P/CInsp Augusto Pasamonte, Chief of Camiling Police Station, P/Supt Henry Flores, Chief of Police, Concepcion Police Station, P/Supt. Ariel Red, Chief of Police, Gerona Police Station, P/CInsp Ernie Guarin, OIC Sta. Ignacia Police Station and P/Supt Bayani Razalan, Chief Tarlac City Police Station./ABL-PIO
