DTI confers Bagwis Gold to five more stores in Central Luzon

CLARK FREEPORT ZONE – Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) conferred on Wednesday the Bagwis Gold to five more stores in Central Luzon.

DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez handed the recognition to Sanford Marketing Corporation which manages the Savemore Supermarket branches in Talavera and Cabiao in Nueva Ecija and Tarlac Province.

Also, the branches of ABENSON Ventures Inc. and Pandayan Bookshop Inc in Tarlac.
“The program aims to give due recognition to establishments that uphold the rights of consumers and practice responsible business where consumers get value for money,” DTI Regional Director Judith Angeles said.

Bagwis has three levels namely Bronze for compliance with fair trade laws and presence of a consumer welfare desk or recognized customer service counter, Silver for achievement of Bronze requirements plus social responsibility.

“And lastly, the Gold Seal is given to those who have attained the Silver requirements plus some elements aligned to ISO 9001,” Angeles added./CLJD-PIA 3
