CAMILING, Tarlac – Max P. Guillermo recently assumed as the first University President of the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU).
In his inaugural speech, Guillermo expressed his deepest gratitude to Senator Bam Aquino who is the principal author of Republic Act 10800,which converts Tarlac College of Agriculture (TCA) into a university.
Per Section 9 of Republic Act 10800, the incumbent President of TCA shall serve as the first President of the University.
Guillermo likewise thanked his family, friends and most especially his mentors [parents] for the advices, wisdom and support to TAU.
“Finally, we are reaping the fruits of our labor. We hope that we will become a catalyst of true change in transforming our students as future entrepreneurs and leaders,” he stressed.
During the program, the University symbols: mace, academic collar, academic gown, medallion and ring were also presented to the President.
“This is just the beginning of many chapters of TAU and the birth of many challenges as we fulfill our responsibilities as a University,” Guillermo noted. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
