The former sakadas of the Hacienda Luisita joined KMU in a Mendiola protest to end contractualization. The sakadas, being assisted by UMA (Unyon ng mga Manggagawa sa Agrikultura) claim oppresive labor practices at the hacienda wherein they claim to have ended up earning P9.50 a day.
