BALER, Aurora – National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) recently retrieved the vintage car of former President Manuel Quezon, which was loaned and displayed in a museum in the province.
“We intend to include it in the display of the planned Presidential Car Museum at the Quezon City Memorial Circle,” NHCP Executive Director Ludovico Badoy said.
Apart from Quezon, the planned museum will have in its collection the vehicles used by former Presidents Emilio Aguinaldo, Jose P. Laurel, Manuel Roxas, Elpidio Quirino, Ramon Magsasay, Ferdinand Marcos, Corazon Aquino, Fidel V. Ramos, Joseph Ejercito Estrada, and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
NHCP will also ask former President Benigno S. Aquino III to add his presidential vehicle.
“Quezon’s car would undergo conservation treatment prior to its inclusion in the display,” Badoy added./CLJD/JSL-PIA 3
