CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Over 11,300 local and overseas careers will be up for grabs during the 2016 Independence Day Job Fairs in Central Luzon.
Around 5,955 jobs will be available for local employment from 142 participating companies from various industries and 30 government plantilla positions.
“Moreover, we are expecting about 5,388 job vacancies for overseas employment from 28 recruitment agencies, as processed by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration,” Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Director Ana Dione said.
Job vacancies for local employment include Production Engineering Associates, Production Operators, Customer/Technical Support Representatives, Inbound Sales Representatives, Call Center Agents, Welders, Sewers, Medical Transcriptionists, Sales Clerks, Office Clerks, Machine Operators, and Service Workers.
Overseas employment vacancies, on the other hand, consist of Production Workers, Engineers, Architects, Administrative Assistants, Cooks, Waiters, Waitresses, Construction Workers, and Plumbers.
A pre-Independence Day Job Fair will be held on June 10 at the Old Capitol Compound in Cabanatuan City.
On June 12, simultaneous employment fests is scheduled in Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Bulacan; Liwasang Bayan of San Felipe, Zambales; and Municipal Hall of Baler in Aurora.
Apart from this, post-Independence Day Job Fairs will be held on June 13 at the Rizal Triangle of Olongapo City, and on June 30 at the Municipal Grounds in Concepcion, Tarlac.
“Again, I would like to remind our job applicants to come prepared with proper attire and bring with them multiple copies of their resumes, certificates of employment, transcript of records, clearance, photos, and other pertinent pre-employment documents needed by employers,” Dione stressed.
For his part, DOLE Technical Support and Services Division for Employment and Welfare Chief Alejandro Inza Cruz disclosed jobseekers may already pre-register before June 12.
“To save time for jobseekers, they may now start filling-up their Skills Registration System Forms to pre-register to the PhilJobnet web. They may likewise visit the Public Employment Service Offices in their areas to register,” Cruz said.
The 118th Independence Day celebration carries the theme “Pagkakaisa, Pagaambagan, Pagsulong.”/(CLJD-PIA 3)
