PCR TCPS continues drug abuse resistance education

TARLAC CITY – The Police Community Relations (PCR) personnel, with the supervision of Tarlac City Police Chief Superintendent Bayani Razalan, conducted a Drug Awareness Lecture as a part of its Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) on separate days at Central Azucarera de Tarlac High School and Tibag National High School.

On February 3 and 7, 2017, Police Chief Inspector Palmyra Guardaya, Capt. Marlilo Bersabe and the staff of the Engineering Division of the Philippine Army addressed the students of the said schools about the dangers of drug abuse and the violence associated to it.

Such activities aim to teach effective peer resistance to easily say “no” to trying and using drugs. By imbuing positive values, students’ social skills and self-esteem are enhanced. Self-respect enables them to grow healthy and confident without having to depend on harmful substances, drugs, tobacco and similar substances./Tarlac CIO
