SPO3 Sta. Isabel, cohorts to be detained in Camp Crame – PNP-AKG

MANILA – The Philippine National Police Anti Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) is now waiting for the copy of the warrant of arrest issued by a court in Angeles City, Pampanga against the policemen who were allegedly responsible in the kidnapping and killing of South Korean businessman Jee Ick Joo last October.

The Angeles City Regional Trial Court (RTC) on Friday issued the warrant of arrest against the group of SPO3 Ricky Sta. Isabel.

PNP-AKG legal officer Supt. Dennis Wagas on Friday said the group of Sta. Isabel will be detained at the PNP-AKG detention facility in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

He added the Department of Justice (DOJ) has chosen to file the case against the group of Sta. Isabel before the Angeles City, Pampanga RTC because it was the place where the kidnapping of the victim took place.

Aside from Sta. Isabel, also ordered arrested are his accomplices SPO2 Roy Villegas, Ramon Yalung and four other still unidentified suspects.

The warrant of arrest was issued after the criminal complaint was filed Friday morning before the Angeles City RTC.
