TARLAC CITY – Tarlac West Central Elementary School bagged the first place trophy for the elementary level while Tarlac National High School topped the high school level at the Street Dance Parade and Showdown held on January 18, 2017.
This major event in line with the celebration of the First Kaisa Festival attracted more than a thousand residents and tourists in the streets and the Ninoy Aquino Memorial Plazuela where the dance showdown was held.
All the participants highlighted the theme of this year’s festival, “Pagdiriwang ng Diwa ng Pagkakaisa ng Tarlakenyo”, in their cultural performances.
Aside from the winner, Tarlac West Central Elementary School, six other elementary schools participated in the said competition namely Matatalaib Bato Elementary School (second place), Maliwalo Central Elementary School (third place), Suizo Resettlement Elementary School, Baras-Baras Elementary School, Alvindia-Aguso Elementary School and Sto. Cristo Elementary School.
Balibago Integrated School took the second place and Maliwalo National High School ranked third at the high school level.
The Officer –in-Charge of the City Information Office and Grand Homecoming Night Chairman, Vlademir Marquez said, “the festivities this year will make a mark in the history of our city with the leadership of Mayor Angeles who made sure that the spirit of unity, despite differences in culture and beliefs, will reach every Tarlaqueño through activities such as the Street Dance Competition and other major events lined up for the First Kaisa Festival.”/Tarlac CIO
