Toyota Pampanga donates for construction of Bahay Pag-asa

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Toyota Pampanga donated Php500,000 for the construction of Bahay Pag-asa, a reformation center for drug surrenderees, inside the Police Regional Office Headquarters in Camp Olivas.

“I have high hopes that we will achieve positive changes in our communities even though our mission is still a work in progress. I look forward to standing here with you upon the successful completion of this project, and cutting the ribbon with you in the soonest time possible,” Police Regional Director Aaron Aquino said during Monday’s groundbreaking ceremony.

For his part, Police Director General Ronald Dela Rosa not only thanked the benefactor for their donation but also encouraged other members of the community to be as supportive in their all-out war against illegal drugs.

“This is the current problem of Philippine National Police. Although we have profoundly expressed that drug rehabilitation is no longer part of the mandate of the organization, we are being pounded because we started the problem by waging an all-out war against drug use and abuse,” Dela Rosa said./CLJD/JRAA-PIA 3
