CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan –Two more alleged drug pushers were killed in a shootout with lawmen during separate anti-drugs operations conducted by the Bulacan police in Baliwag and Santa Maria towns early Tuesday morning while another offender was also arrested.
Bulacan acting police director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., identified the two slain suspects as a certain “Big Boy”, 45, a resident of Sitio Tumana, Barangay San Jose, Baliwag and Alvin Dela Torre, who is included in the BADAC list of Santa Maria Municipal Police Station while the arrested suspect was identified as Amelia De Guzman, the live-in partner of “Big Boy.”
Based from the report of Supt. Froilan Uy, acting police chief of Baliwag Municipal Police Station (MPS), an armed encounter ensued during a buy-bust operation at around 12:30 a.m.when police operatives of the Baliwag MPS was about to effect the arrest of @ Big Boy after the consummation of the drug transaction.
The report said that Big Boy resisted, drew and fired his firearms toward the law enforcers, prompting the operating police officers to fire back that resulted to the suspect’s death and arrest of her live-in partner.
Scene of the Crime Operative (SOCO) of Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office recovered the following pieces of evidence: one caliber 22 revolver, five pieces live ammunition for caliber 22, four pieces spent cartridge case for 9 mm, four pieces plastic sachets containing “suspected” shabu, PHP 500 peso bill as buy bust money and other drug paraphernalia.
In Santa Maria town, Supt. Raniel Valones reported that Dela Torre was neutralized during a buy-bust operation at 12:40 a.m Tuesday.
Valones said Dela Torre drew and fired his firearm towards the approaching operatives that prompted the police officers to retaliate causing the death of the suspect.
However, an unidentified companion of Dela Torre onboard a motorcycle sped off and escaped during the incident.
A SOCO team from the Bulacan PNP Crime Laboratory recovered the following pieces of evidence: seven sachets of suspected “shabu” weighing 2.2 grams, including the buy bust item with a street value of PHP4,500; one Smith and Wesson caliber .38 revolver without serial number; three live ammunition and two fired cartridge cases for caliber .38 revolver and three pieces fired cartridge cases for caliber 9mm;,PHP 500 bill buy-bust money and a folding knife /PNA/FPV/ZST/EGGAMOS
