Vice Gov warns criminals to leave Pampanga

MAGALANG, Pampanga – Vice-Governor Dennis Pineda on Thursday warned suspected criminals to leave Pampanga following the death of seven lawless elements in two separate shootouts in Angeles City and Barangay San Jose, in this town last Monday.

The vice governor personally went to the crime scene to respond after getting the information that a group of syndicate was neutralized.

He assured the people of Pampanga that they would not stop hunting for criminals and that the provincial government of Pampanga is in full support to the advocacy of the President-elect Rody Duterte in curbing the nation’s alarming crime rate.

According to Chief Supt. Aaron Aquino, director of the Police Regional Office-3, the neutralized suspects were members of the notorious Jimboy Santos group which was involved to several carnapping, kidnapping, highway robbery and gapos gang in the province and neighboring areas.

The group was flagged down in a check-point by the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) in Pandacaqui, Mexico town just before going to CTEX Investments which they plan to rob, Aquino said.

The group evaded arrest and then split their ways riding in a black Montero Sport where two suspects died in Angeles City and while the five others, on board a Mitsubishi Adventure, were killed in Barangay San Jose, Magalang.

Aquino said that their forces will not stop in targeting and capturing groups and people involved in different crimes all over the province.

He also warned syndicates to stop using the sticker of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Highway Patrol Group (HPG) and other bodies connected to the police and military forces of the country./PNA/FFC/ZST/JM/PS
