2 drug suspects killed, 5 others arrested in Bulacan

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Two drug suspects were killed and five others were arrested during an anti-illegal drug operation conducted on Wednesday in Barangay San Martin 4, City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

Senior Superintendent Romeo Caramat, Bulacan police acting provincial director, identified those killed as Theodoro Fortes alias Buboy and Nanding Rodrigo, both residents of said barangay.

Those arrested were Allan Manansala, Romulo Bargola, Noel Centeno, Jonathan de Jesus, and George Duran, all of said barangay, Caramat said.

City of San Jose Del Monte police with Drug Enforcement Unit of Bulacan police led by Superintendent Wilson Magpali conducted the buy-bust operation against Rodrigo and Fortes, who ranked no. 8 in the city’s Top 10 drug personalities.

Fortes and Rodrigo saw the back up team of poseur buyer approaching, prompted them to draw their guns and fire towards the lawmen.

During a brief of exchange of firefight, the two suspects sustained gunshot wounds in the different parts of the body and died on the spot.

Caramat said the five drug suspects were arrested while in the act of sniffing shabu.

Recovered from the crime scene were five plastic sachets of shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, PHP500 marked money and two improvised guns with spent shells and bullets. (PNA) /LAP/zst/RKM
