TARLAC CITY — The Business Permit and Licensing Division and the Local Treasury Division of the City Treasury Office, discovered 350 establishments operating without permit here at the metro as of April 21, 2017.
Mayor Cristy Angeles ordered to intensify the efforts of the inspection team under BPLD to check on the legitimacy of business establishments and their compliance with city ordinances and laws governing them.
Two hundred eighty (280) establishments were inspected at the Uptown Market and Baque Building, 151 at Market City, C & S, Barangays Poblacion and Mabini, 91 at the Downtown Market, and 93 businesses along F. Tañedo St. and Barangay San Nicolas.
After the massive inspection, proprietors have started securing necessary permits from which 56 business owners have already fully complied, benefitting the city with an income of P343,497.49.
The inspection of establishments around and outside the metro is ongoing.
On May 3, 2017, the team headed to SM City Tarlac to check the compliance of the stalls operating within the mall, with the permission of the SM City Administrative Office.
The authorities are reminding business owners of their obligation to secure the necessary permits and to ensure that all their employees have working permits from the City Hall.
