Sen. Bam Aquino attends Tarlac City’s first Adobo Fest

TARLAC CITY — The celebration of the 19th Charter Anniversary here was made more memorable when Senator Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV personally congratulated the participants and organizers of the activities.

One of the events was the first ever Tarlac City Adobo Fest held at 4:00 pm onwards on April 28, 2017 at the San Sebastian- San Vicente Diversion (Bypass) Road.

This culinary competition highlighted the infamous Pinoy dish that has been known worldwide and has in fact been innovated by internationally renowned chefs for their gourmet restaurants.

Unlike any other cook fest, this activity was a unique festivity that combined Filipino Food, music and entertainment.

Senator Bam Aquino walked through the lined up colorful and exquisitely designed booths with Mayor Cristy Angeles to meet the City Hall employees who were the participants and contenders for the said competition.

The Senator who is currently the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education Culture and Arts and the Committee on Science and Technology champions activities that highlight Filipino tradition.

The jovial attitude of the employees during the competition drew the attention of the Senator and was evidently delighted when he tasted some of the adobo entries which were mainly pork, chicken, beef and seafoods.

The festivity aimed to promote the local dish and give opportunity to the participants to discover their own talents and creativity, thus helping them explore the possibility of turning their skills into a business.

The winners of the Adobo Fest Cooking Competition will be announced on May 8, 2017 during the flag-raising ceremony./Tarlac CIO
