CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan – A former policeman, listed as a “high value target” in the all-out- war against hard drugs in this province, was busted in this city while eight other suspects were arrested in a series of operations in the towns of Baliwag, Bustos, Norzagaray and Meycauayan City on Tuesday.
In a report to Bulacan acting police director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr. on Wednesday, San Jose Del Monte City police chief Supt. Fitz Macariola, identified the arrested policeman as PO1 Daryl Lazaro, 33, a native of Nueva Ecija and presently residing at Block 9, Lot 7, Phase H, Francisco Homes, Barangay Guijo, in this city.
Lazaro is a former member of Bulacan Police Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) who went absent without official leave (AWOL) on September 18, 2015.
Macariola said Lazaro did not resist arrest when accosted by a police team after selling a plastic sachet of shabu to a police undercover agent.
Police recovered 11 more plastic sachets containing shabu from the former policeman turned drug dealer.
Meanwhile, Caramat identified the other arrested suspects as Jhon Jhon Batas, Allan Buenaventura, Joel Dumagco, Aldrin Capisnon, Richard Enano, Ramil Enano, Acsie Abubacar, and Jayson Baricua.
A total of 25 pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected “shabu”, buy-bust money and assorted drug paraphernalia were recovered during the conduct of separate police operations.
The arrested suspects and recovered pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examination.
Caramat said that appropriate criminal complaints are now being prepared for filing in court. (Emil G. Gamos/PNA)
