Cabanatuan City – – Are pushers from other towns invading this city?
This was the observation of PSupt Ponciano Zafra on the arrest at the SM Mall Cabanatuan of a drug dealer from Tarlac City.
In his report to Nueva Police Director PSSupt Danilo Yara, Zafra gave the name of apprehended drug peddler as Bangsaan Ampuan y Calipapa Laut, AKA Bangs, 29, of Block 7, Barangay Sto. Cristo, Tarlac City.
Ampuan was caught selling shabu at the ground floor comfort room of the SM Mall.
Three large sachets of shabu were confiscated from Ampuan with a total weight of .55 grams.
In an interview Zafra said, “since last March this year, we have already arrested 313 pushers and users and confiscated 796.84 grams of shabu. And from August 5 alone we have apprehended 24 pushers”.
“But our observation is the supply of illegal drugs is coming from outside the city, pushers and suppliers are coming in. We have apprehended almost all known pushers from this city”, added Zafra.
“Ampuan is from Tarlac City. He is not a local, he only delivered his drugs here”, added Zafra who has received more than 13 police medals since becoming police chief of the city in July last year./Nelson Bolos
