The Provincial Government of Tarlac led by Governor Susan Yap and Vice Governor Carlito David joined the nation in celebrating the Civil Service Commission’s [CSC] 116th anniversary with a program and awarding ceremonies at the Bulwagan ng mga Gubernador, September 5.
The month long celebration with a theme: “Sigaw ng Lingkod Bayani: Malasakit sa Taungbayan, Kapwa Kawani at Kalikasan,” aims to instill compassion with action for health, the environment, deserving public servants and the Filipino public who are clients of the government.
Engineer Roberto Ventura, OIC Provincial Administrator, in his message congratulated and saluted all civil servants for their dedication and honest service to the people of Tarlac.
“I congratulate and salute all the public servants for the dedication and honesty that you have shown to all our constituents,” the administrator said.
Director Marilou Valerio, Civil Service Commission Tarlac Field Office, for her part said, that employees must show compassion to all who needs the services regardless of their political affinity.
“It is our anniversary this month of September so let us show compassion to our fellow government workers, to those seeking our services and to the environment,” Velerio said adding, “Let us give equal treatment and fast services to all.”
Vice Governor Carlito David who started working with the provincial government of Tarlac in 1980, in his message, reminded capitol employees to observe every line in the Panunumpa ng Kawani ng Gobyerno for every civil servant to become commendable.
“What you are today is the product of hard work you have yesterday, what we will be tomorrow is our choice today, so we must follow what we swore in the Panunumpa ng Kawani ng Gobyerno,” the vice governor said.
In a statement, Governor Susan Yap said that civil servants should be role models in their communities and always be aware that service to the people should paramount.
“We have sworn duties to serve our people…being role models to our respective communities will drastically improve bureaucracy and reduce corruption in government,” Yap said.
Highlight of the celebration is the awarding of certificates and cash incentives to the employees who displayed extra effort in serving the people.
Winners of the “Maaga Ka, Wagi Ka” who received certificates and 3,000 pesos cash incentives each are Augusto Miclat of the Provincial Accounting Office, Roda and Jerome Caingat of Provincial Social Welfare Development Office, Rhodora Mapili of Provincial Assessor’s Office, Tarlac Provincial Hospital’s Carmela Mangaso and Arol Urian, Ma. Clara Chest Center’s Reynaldo Nulud and Judy Pineda, Aris Rey David and Lorna Castillo of Concepcion District Hospital, Bienvenido Custodio of the Gilberto O. Teodoro Memorial Hospital; Bernardino Rafanan, Danny Tampipig, Ray Boy Morales and Christian Rubis of Provincial General Service Office and Provincial Human Resources Management Office’ Airwind Jeff Manlutac and Hilbert Toledo.
“Paalam, Mabuhay” Awardees received plaques and 3,000 pesos cash incentives each includes Albert Lapid and Narcisa Agustin of Tarlac Provincial Office and Ma. Corazon Miranda of the Provincial Information Office.
For the Best Department, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council placed first with the Provincial Budget Office and Provincial Planning and Development Office placing second and third respectively.
Provincial General Services Office hosted the opening program while San Vicente Elementary School’s drum and lyre band entertained the guest and employees.
