A costly error

THE LEVEL 1-3 River dike repair in Tarlac city is positive development that the previous administration (PINOY) is concern over the welfare of every Tarlaqueños considering what is at stake here is the life and property of Tarlaqueño especially those living just beside the sad construction.

This is contrary to reports that the Aquino administration is unmindful of the welfare of his people.
According to experts, if this will not be finished before the onslaught of rainy season, it could spell disaster to the city and may immerse the entire city area.

LATELY, we had received some reports that one of the contractors (LEVEL 3 Section), committed an error as far as the elevation of its assigned section which affects the slopping, totally unaligned with LEVELS 1 & 2.

Upon learning of the reported error, ENGR. MIGUEL “MIKE” MALVAR, Supervising Engineer of DPWH District 1 office immediately instructed the concerned construction firm through a certain ENGR. PAUL, Project engineer of the said section to do the rectification of the reported error.

In fairness to FLORDES Construction Incorporated, a certain ENGR PAUL, they acted with prompt regarding the said noticed error. The said firm is handling three (3) other project in the province under the jurisdiction of DPWH District 1 Office headed by MDM LINDA SANTOS, a native of Bulacan.
The project cost, the level 1 section alone is a whooping P43 MILLION.

We cannot afford to let our peoples’ money to go to waste just because of a mere error where the lives and properties of every Tarlaqueño is at peril.

We have consulted ENGR. JESUS CAWIGAN, the city Engineering head and assured us that the city government through MAYOR CRISTY C. ANGELES would act even if only one tax payer files a complaint and ask for assistance and through a directive and memo coming from the executive office, would also conduct inspection because it is within the jurisdiction of the city government. It is the mandate of Mayor Angeles to protect and ensure the welfare of her constituents that she has sworn to serve.

In retrospect, the said damaged area due to the onslaught of typhoon Yolanda, has revealed the extent of alleged corruption which saw a large portion of it without the necessary slope protection (walang bakal at puro buhangin ang laman instead of solid soil and covered by metal pile).

Now that we are doing what is right, we cannot afford to commit another mistake at the expense of our peoples’ lives and properties.

Ika nga, ONE IS ENOUGH and TWO is TOO MUCH.

TAMA NA. TIGILAN NA ang pagkakamali.

We must learn from the previous mistake and be vigilant to protect our peoples’ welfare – even the lives and properties of our people is at stake (BUHAY AT PAG-AARI NG ATING MGA MAMAMAYAN ANG NAKASALALAY DITO).
