CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Seen as a hub of economic growth, the Clark Green City (CGC) project is expected to positively affect not only the lives of the people within Central Luzon, but the entire nation as well.
Around 1.12 million residents and 800,000 workers are expected to reside upon its full development.
“CGC will be master planned to contain an industrial sector featuring green industries, agriculture-centered communities with support facilities, business hubs, and academic institutions,” Bases Conversion and Development Authority Vice President for Corporate Communications Leilani Macasaet said.
Accordingly, the large labor pool of Region 3 and its local community living within the known “Rice Bowl of the Philippines” will directly benefit from the said developments, given its proximity.
“The business hubs in CGC will generate jobs for many Filipinos, and residential areas within the city will allow them to have ease of mobility between work and home,” Macasaet furthered.
She also explained that various government agencies would put up offices in CGC giving citizens and enterprises better access to government services.
On another note, preparatory work for CGC has already started, with the first phase to be finished by 2020.
“The target completion for the Comprehensive Master Development Plan Results is by the third quarter of 2017, while the Detailed Development Planning of Pioneer Developments is expected to be done by the first quarter of 2018,” Macasaet revealed.
Meanwhile, the start of Site Development for Pioneer Developments is by the second quarter of 2018. (CLJD/JRAA-PIA 3)
