Lately, the vacant lot beside Uniwide along Ninoy Aquino Blvd was turned into an informal resettlement by some Badjao mendicants who are regulars at the City Market along the streets all the way to Mac Arthur Highway. These mendicants have become an eyesore and irritants as they turned mendicancy as their form of livelihood. The CSWDO with the assistance of the local PNP dismantled the tents and told the Badjaos to go back their resettlement area in Cabanatuan City. See story below. /CIO photo
