Paniqui, Tarlac – – One cannot escape the long arm of the law.
Thus, said PSupt Joel Mendoza on the murder suspect who was arrested hiding in the hinterlands of Isabela province some 600 kilometers away on Friday.
In his report to Tarlac Police Provincial Director PSSupt Ritchie Medardo Posadas, Mendoza identified the arrested murder suspect as Noel Quimbo y Gaviola, 48, resident of Sitio Bagcok, Barangay Abogado, Paniqui.
Quimbo was said to have stabbed to death Anacleto Rodriguez Jimenez Jr, of Pob. South, Ramos town last June in Barangay Dicolor, Gerona. He was arrested in Barangay Minanga, Naguilian, Isabela.
According to a witness, Quimbo, who used to drive a motorcycle in this town, was flagged down by Jimenez in Barangay Samput here, and brought him in Gerona to collect some money.
During his interrogation, Quimbo was said to have admitted killing Jimenez with a samurai in an isolated lot in Barangay Dicolor.
The warrant of arrest for Quimbo was issued by Judge Maria Magdalena Balderama of Tarlac Regional Trial court branch 65. His case is docketed as Criminal Case number 6941-2017.
