TARLAC CITY – Tarlac State University shall play host on Thursday, March 30, to the first ASEAN Campus Forum of Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region 3.
“As part of hyping the Philippine Chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) this 2017, PIA in Central Luzon will be holding campus forums in different provinces to educate and pitch support from the youth in this endeavor,” PIA Regional Director William Beltran said.
Each forum shall feature discussions from Department of Foreign Affairs on Political-Security Community Pillar, Department of Trade and Industry on Economic Community Pillar, and Department of Social Welfare and Development on Socio-Cultural Community Pillar.
“An On-the-Spot Poster Making contest will be held for students of the Host University or College as an ancillary activity. The entries shall be exhibited and winners announced during the Campus Forum proper,” Beltran added.
Other educational institutions PIA will visit this year include Central Luzon State University, Aurora State College of Technology, Bataan Peninsula State University, and Ramon Magsaysay Technological University.
Also, Tarlac Agricultural University, Pampanga State Agricultural University, and Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University. (CLJD-PIA 3)
