TARLAC CITY – the City Government of Tarlac, headed by its first female local chief executive Mayor Maria Cristina C. Angeles, received another recognition, this time from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office III, for its active support in the activities and endeavors of the said agency especially during the conduct of the 117th Civil Service Anniversary this month.
Held at Widus Hotel in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, the event was attended by numerous public agencies from Region III who were representing various sectors such as education, social services, and local government units.
Mayor Cristy Angeles, accompanied by the OIC of City Human Resource Management Office (CHRMO), Emmy Lou S.F. Sicangco, was one of the local chief executives invited to attend the Recognition Rites of the agency where she received special recognition for its active participation and invaluable support as one of CSC’s partner agency in the province of Tarlac.
In celebration of its 117th Civil Service Anniversary with the theme “Tugon sa Hamon ng Pagbabago: Malasakit ng Lingkod Bayani!”, the Civil Service Commission has conducted several activities nationwide one of which was the Special Treats for Government Employees which was packed with discount promos for all public servants.
To show her full support in the celebration, Mayor Cristy Angeles, through the assistance and coordination of Tarlac City Government – Employees’ Association for Good Leadership and Efficient Service (TCG-EAGLES), hosted the 1st Angel’s Cup Inter-Department Sportsfest in the city government of Tarlac. Eagerly participated by all the departments and division offices of the LGU, the on-going sports fest includes basketball, volleyball, futsal, badminton, and table tennis. Tarlac City also hosted the provincial Prime HRM Briefing conducted by CSC Regional Office III last Sept. 08, 2017.
“Being a new local chief executive, I aim to let our partner agencies know, especially government agencies such as the CSC, that the City Government of Tarlac will always be supporting their endeavors that aim to provide better public service and at the same time provide service and opportunities for our fellow public servants. “ says Mayor Cristy Angeles after receiving the special recognition.
Mayor Cristy Angeles was also joined by Mayor Reynaldo Catacutan of the Municipality of Capas and Mayor Nora Modomo of the Municipality of Sta. Ignacia who also received awards and recognitions in various categories./Tarlac CIO @tarlac.cio
