TARLAC CITY — Around 3,000 job-seekers trooped to the SM Tarlac City today, January 17, 2017 for the 1st KAISA FESTIVAL Mega Job Fair.
The Mega Jobs Fair is part of the week-long City Fiesta Celebration from January 16 to 21, 2017 dubbed as the 1st KAISA FESTIVAL that is being held for the first time under the administration of Mayor Ma. Cristina C. Angeles.
The KAISA Mega Jobs Fair is a project of Mayor Angeles being implemented by the City Manpower Development and Employment Services Office under Engr. Arnold G. Samson in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment [DOLE] Provincial Office headed by Mr. Efren Reyes and the SM Tarlac City management.
Fifty-one [51] local business establishments and one [1] overseas job placement agency conducted the day-long interview of applicants. Applicants who will pass the qualifications and requirements of prospective employers will be hired on the spot.
Applicants can also secure Community Tax Certificates [cedula] and apply for police clearance and SSS membership at the job fair venue.
Mayor Angeles said that providing jobs and livelihood is one of her priority programs because employment is a primordial concern of Tarlaqueños and their families.
The jobs fair, one of the biggest to be held in Tarlac City is part of the sustained jobs and livelihood generation program of Mayor Angeles which include opening of the Water Lily Handicrafts Livelihood Project in Barangays Armenia, Banaba and Buhilit, provision of Nego Karts and Business Kits and opening of several market projects aimed at providing better opportunities for market vendors and making the status of sidewalk vendors legal and legitimate.
