CAMP O’DONNELL, Tarlac — Brigadier General Herminigildo Francisco Aquino formally assumed today as the new head of the Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).
He replaced Major General Ivan Samarita who retired after reaching the mandatory age of 56.
Aquino is a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Maharlika” Class of 1984.
“Under Samarita’s stint, the Army school was able to attain the Proficient Stage in the Army Governance Pathway which is a step closer in attaining our vision to become a world-class training institution by 2022,” TRADOC Public Information Officer LTC. Oscar Partuza said.
“We conducted several activities prior to his retirement namely a fun bike, fun run, tree planting, and testimonial dinner,” Partuza added.
