Cabanatuan police slays 4 ‘bigtime’ pushers in bungled buy-busts

Cabanatuan City – – They never learned.

This was stern comment of PSupt Ponciano Zafra as he reveals the latest anti-illegal drugs accomplishments of this city’s police last week which included the killing of 4 “bigtime drug pushers in 3 separate buy bust operations..

According to Zafra, first to be killed in an armed encounter was Francisco Santiago, a.k.a PANTET, of of Melencio Street., Barangay San Roque, who shot it out with the police during an entrapment operation near his house.

Recovered from Santiago were a 9 MM pistol and 4 sachets of shabu.

Next was Nelson Dela Merced, a.k.a ARABO, 47, of Purok 6, Brgy. San Josef Norte, from whom a caliber 357 pistol and 6 sachets of shabu were seized.

Both Santiago and Dela Merced were was included in the city’s Watchlist of Suspected Drug Personalities.

Zafra also disclosed the slaying of Alfredo Martinez, Jr., a.k.a PULUTAN, 32, and Nepomuceno Esguerra a.k.a ESGUERRA, 53, both of Purok Yakal, Barangay. Lourdes.

Martinez and Esguerra were killed when they also shot it out with police operatives during an entrapment in Barangay San Isidro.

Marinez, has an existing 2 warrants of arrest for Carnapping.

Zafra also revealed, “the 4 suspected pushers left the city for several months when the intensified police anti-illegal drugs campaign was launched last year but a few months ago they all returned and resumed their drug peddling activities”.

“Walang kadala-dala ang mga pushers. They never learned that policemen are trained to shoot and to kill if shot upon by criminals”, Zafra said./Nelson Bolos
