MANILA – The Department of Education has announced that classes in public schools will start on June 5.
DepEd assistant secretary Tonisito Umali said in an advisory that classes remain set “for the first Monday of June”.
The previous school year ended last April 7. An academic year consists of 202 school days.
Private schools, meanwhile, could start classes until the last day of August, according to Umali.
Classes are still ongoing for some private schools. (PNA) JLD
